Advance grid analytics with AESO using Python and machine learning in a hybrid work environment supporting Alberta’s power system. As a Senior Engineer or Senior Analyst, you will expand data-driven analytics across the Grid Analytics team. You will develop business intelligence platforms, analytical applications, and power system AI/ML solutions. Your work will inform reliability practices, system operations, planning, and market decisions. Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement cross-functional business intelligence platforms Conduct advanced analytics and communicate actionable findings Develop tools for simulations and operational forecasts Advance machine learning and agentic AI applications Conduct congestion and probabilistic engineering assessments Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline Ten or more years of relevant experience Advanced Python proficiency for analytical applications Experience developing business intelligence and visualization platforms Experience with machine learning or agentic AI Apply your engineering expertise, Python proficiency, and analytics experience to strengthen AESO’s transmission-system decision-making capabilities.
