Build OJS and website functionality as a Research Assistant supporting knowledge dissemination and translation at Mount Royal University. Work flexibly across variable weekly hours.
This Research Assistant supports the Supervisor with moderate to complex research activities. You will help launch the HCE Research to Practice Praxis Hub, connecting academic and community audiences. The work includes computer programming, website setup, and linking a front-facing website with OJS and the Mount Royal Open Access Repository.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop OJS functionality for editorial and administrative responsibilities
- Develop an HCE YouTube account for submitted video and audio work
- Extract monthly pieces from OJS for the Praxis Hub website
- Design data collection components measuring Praxis Hub effectiveness
- Design websites for keyword and topic searchability
Requirements:
- Third or fourth year Computer Science student
- Graduate of a Computer Science program
- Skills in computer programming and website setup
- Ability to link websites with OJS and repositories
