Maintenance Assistant-Casual
Reportingto the Maintenance Supervisor, The MaintenanceAssistant is responsible for assisting with general maintenance duties at AVENS– A Community for Seniors. This is a casual/on-call position to cover for full-time replacement. Dutieswill include general labour and repairs, painting, general landscaping,equipment checks, and preventative maintenance for our Aven Manor, AvenCottages, as well as our independent housing.
Education and Experience Requirements
- v Educationor training related to maintenance, preference for plumbing, mechanical andelectrical
- v Abilityto lift up to 50 lbs
- v Abilityto work outside for long periods of time, and to work with limited supervision
- v Mustbe able to obtain, provide and maintain a satisfactory Vulnerable SectorCriminal Record Check

Pay and Benefits
SALARY: $26.70 per hour
PENSION PLAN: not eligible on a casual position
