The Docs team in Autodesk AEC Construction R&D is seeking a talented and highly motivated principal developer to join its development team, to build cloud services and products for its global customers in the construction industry. You will be part of a dynamic software development team, collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality cloud services that help customers transform to a cloud-powered Autodesk experience.
Responsibilities
- Be a technical leader in the full life cycle of software development.
- Contribute to the architecture evolution and platform development for Forma Data Management cloud services, working with various industry software experts and stakeholders.
- Be hands-on in the implementation and operation of cloud services, using web-based technologies and best practices.
- Solve challenging technical problems and provide innovative solutions for SaaS products that integrate with Autodesk's well-known tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Role model in high code quality, organization, and automation. Mentor and coach other developers and share your deep knowledge and expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based products with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Strong design and coding skills, with emphasis on quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Proficiency in web-based technologies, such as Java, Go, GraphQL, etc.
- Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Experience in designing and developing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services using AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud operations at an enterprise level.
- Experience with distributed database technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global and diverse team as a technical leader and diplomat.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in big data analytics.
- Solid experience in building and maintaining event-driven frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with BPMN or RPA tools like Camunda, Power Automate or AWS Step Function.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems.
- Familiar with Linux/CentOS.
