Direct ground-up design-build and build-to-suit construction for United Rentals in Toronto or Ottawa, with responsibility for complex capital delivery. This Senior Construction Manager serves as an Owner’s representative for high-value renovations, expansions, and facility improvements. The work spans project scope definition, estimating, procurement, contractor selection, scheduling, contract negotiations, financial management, and closeout. You will provide strategic input, engage senior leadership, and lead multidisciplinary teams through complex delivery methods and construction execution. Key Responsibilities:
Define scopes and translate requirements into project budget parameters Develop schedules, track deliverables, and address potential project delays Manage complex delivery methods and comprehensive bid packages Evaluate bids and recommend contractors to senior leadership Lead architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors Requirements:
10-15 years’ related commercial construction project experience Proven leadership of ground-up design-build and build-to-suit projects Experience delivering large-scale or multi-site construction projects Strong team leadership and complex delivery methods background Industry certification, French bilingual ability, and regional travel readiness Apply construction delivery, procurement, scheduling, and design-build leadership across United Rentals’ complex Canadian capital projects.
