  • A 1.5 km-long tunnel, built by a pressurized TBM (10.5 m diameter slurry TBM);
  • Two vertical shafts (onshore and offshore);
  • An offshore modular intake structure, resting on the lakebed.

The project is distinguished by its proximity to an active nuclear site, requiring rigorous standards of safety, planning, and coordination.

What you will do: As an Environmental Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement across all phases of the project, while supporting project teams in minimizing environmental impacts and meeting regulatory requirements. Concretely, your tasks will be:

  • Support project teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System;
  • Coordinate environmental documentation, permits, monitoring programs, and regulatory compliance activities with consultants, designers, construction teams, and stakeholders;

  • Oversee environmental monitoring programs (noise, vibration, dust, emissions, water quality) and ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory thresholds;
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, training sessions, and awareness programs to promote environmental best practices and compliance across the project;
  • Manage environmental non-conformities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring effective resolution and communication of lessons learned;
  • Act as the primary environmental point of contact on site, supporting project management with environmental reporting, reviews, presentations, and stakeholder engagement;
  • Contribute to QHSE performance through participation in audits, management reviews, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional coordination.

Your skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree with specialization in planning, environmental planning, environmental assessment, geography or another related discipline;
  • At least 6 years of experience in an environmental role;
  • Experience with the implementation of environmental management systems;
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and QHSE regulations applicable to large construction projects;
  • Experience in tunneling or underground works is an asset;
  • Experience working on projects with high-risk environments (nuclear, offshore, or similar) is an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What do we have to provide:

  • Gross annual salary between 85K and 115K depending on experience and profile;
  • 4 vacation weeks;
  • Annual bonuses;
  • Group Health Insurance (premium participation including virtual healthcare system);

  • Career development opportunities;
  • A cosmopolite and inclusive work environment;
