Join the Business Systems Team and help turn complex project data into clear, useful insights. As a Senior BI Analyst, you will work with project teams, business stakeholders and technology specialists to develop and improve business intelligence solutions for the Major Projects Sector.
Your role:
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into practical BI solutions.
- Design data models, reports and dashboards that transform raw data into meaningful information.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, data transformation processes and reporting solutions.
- Contribute to the development, enhancement and maintenance of Power BI solutions.
- Support the quality, integrity and reliability of data used for reporting and analysis.
- Participate in solution testing and deployment, from development through production.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers and business owners.
- Recommend practical improvements to existing dashboards, reporting methods and BI practices.
- Help automate recurring business and reporting processes where appropriate.
About you:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Practical experience developing business intelligence, reporting or data analytics solutions.
- Experience using Power BI, including data modelling, Power Query and DAX.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of data quality, governance, security and access-management practices.
- Familiarity with ETL or data integration processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate in both French and English when supporting stakeholders in both languages.
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into clear technical or analytical solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- The ability to explain technical topics clearly.
