Lead nuclear commissioning strategy, testing, and turnover as Commissioning Director for Monark-D with AtkinsRéalis in Canada. Guide regulated project execution. This senior leadership role directs commissioning from detailed design through final handover. You will establish governance, readiness frameworks, integrated schedules, procedures, and work packages. The position coordinates Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, operations, suppliers, and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop commissioning strategy, organization, governance, and execution plans
- Control schedules, boundaries, testing sequences, and regulatory milestones
- Lead procedures, work packages, test plans, and acceptance criteria
- Manage testing, deficiencies, configuration control, and performance reporting
- Coordinate closeout, system turnover, and final operating handover
Requirements:
- Technical degree, diploma, or equivalent senior nuclear leadership experience
- Typically 15+ years in nuclear or highly regulated industries
- Commissioning, startup, testing, turnover, or major project experience
- Knowledge of CNSC expectations, licensing, safety culture, and quality assurance
