Atimi is seeking an experienced Android AI Lead Developer with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose experience to fill a position in Canada. This is a fully remote position with PDT working hours, open to candidates from all provinces. Atimi works with leading companies in North America, providing high-quality software solutions that integrate both mobile and web experiences.

We are looking for an established leader in the domain with solid experience in software development principles and artificial intelligence, hands-on knowledge of the latest cloud technologies, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive collaboration in the project team to help develop the product, guiding the team through the entire development lifecycle.
- Ensuring code quality and governance.
- Ensuring engineers follow any patterns/designs set out and agreed with project leads.
- Planning, estimating, and contributing to the architecture, coding, and development.
- Refactoring and continuous improvements of the codebases.
- Ensuring that technical decisions and information are communicated thoroughly to the global team.
- Taking responsibility for releases and contributing to the ongoing support of live apps.
- Getting involved with the deployment and operation of the software we build (DevOps).
- Delivering fair outcomes for our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong Kotlin development experience (4+ years).
- Strong OOD skills; knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Strong English skills (written and verbal).
- Experience with Jetpack Compose (3+ years).
- Experience with Gemini and/or Claude (2+ years).
- Experience with GWT and/or AWS cloud environment (3+ years).
- Experience with TDD and DDD.
- Experience using and configuring CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working directly with clients and other project stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with Hyper Velocity Engineering.
- Experience with BMAD methodology.
The position is open to anyone, but you must be located in Canada. Relocation support is not provided.
