We are looking for an experienced QE Accessibility Lead to drive accessibility and quality engineering initiatives across web, mobile, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in WCAG compliance, accessibility testing, automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
This role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure accessibility is embedded throughout the SDLC and that applications meet inclusive design standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accessibility testing for web, mobile, and enterprise applications aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards
- Perform manual and automated accessibility validation using tools such as:
- Axe
- WAVE
- Accessibility Insights
- Validate user journeys using assistive technologies:
- NVDA
- JAWS
- Keyboard navigation
- Identify accessibility issues and provide remediation guidance to development teams
- Define and execute:
- Test strategy
- Test plans
- Quality gates
- Drive end-to-end testing across UI, API, and integrated systems
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using:
- Selenium
- Playwright
- Cypress
- API Automation
- Integrate accessibility and QE automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to embed accessibility into SDLC
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure accessibility requirements are included in DoR/DoD
- Lead defect triage, risk assessment, and quality reporting
- Promote accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles
- Contribute to QE process improvements and innovation initiatives
Required Skills
- 5–10 years of QA/QE experience with strong accessibility testing expertise
- Deep understanding of:
- WCAG
- ARIA
- Semantic HTML
- Accessibility standards
- Hands‑on experience with automation tools:
- Selenium
- Cypress
- Playwright
- REST API testing
- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments
Nice to Have
- Banking / Financial Services domain experience
- Cloud and API testing exposure (Azure preferred)
- Accessibility certifications such as:
- IAAP
- Similar certification
