Aston Carter's client seeks a Shipping Clerk to coordinate materials between production facilities, storage yards, and distribution centers. You will serve drivers, contractors, customers, and internal teams while processing orders, invoices, and shipping documentation. The work includes varied orders and multi-truck shipments across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and manage drivers, contractors, and customers at the counter
- Book loads and assign lanes with warehouse and yard teams
- Dispatch roughly 30+ semi loads daily across multiple load types
- Track orders from request through completion and truck loading
- Communicate load changes and maintain shipping documentation
Requirements:
- One-plus year shipping, dispatch, logistics, or warehouse desk experience
- High-volume experience coordinating loads, orders, and lines
- Invoice and order processing experience using Microsoft Office tools
- Safety-first mindset near active forklift and semi traffic
- Strong organization and time management skills
