Reporting to the Manager - Metallurgy, the Chief Metallurgist directs metallurgical processes, reporting, and team leadership. You will support commissioning, ramp-up, and regular operations through procedures, technical inputs, and reports. The position covers continuous improvement, production forecasting, cyanide detoxification, water balance, metal accounting, and process information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety standards, procedures, and systems across metallurgical activities
- Support commissioning, ramp-up, and regular plant operations
- Manage metallurgy improvement projects and plant performance initiatives
- Oversee cyanide detoxification, water treatment, and environmental compliance
- Direct production reporting, metal accounting, KPIs, and team development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Engineering, or equivalent required
- Professional designation or certification in a related area required
- Minimum 10 years' metallurgical or mineral processing experience
- At least two years in senior supervisory work
- Ability to work remotely on a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation
