Design high-voltage substations in Mississauga with civil and structural engineering expertise, including steel, concrete, and hydraulic calculations. Artelia Canada delivers transmission solutions. As a civil and structural engineer, you will support Artelia Canada’s Transmission, Distribution, and Energy production department. The work covers low-, medium-, and high-voltage transformers and distribution stations, from feasibility through detailed design. You will prepare specifications, drawings, reports, schedules, and estimates while developing expertise in energy transmission and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual plans and detailed civil structural designs
- Perform structural, foundation, and hydraulic calculations
- Prepare AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and three-dimensional drawings
- Review final designs and provide project schedules
- Complete occasional site visits and compliance reports
Requirements:
- University degree in civil or structural engineering
- Five or more years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineers Association of Ontario P.Eng designation
- High-voltage substation design experience in power transmission
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MS Office
