Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across a multi-year transformation program.
- Blend technical depth with architectural oversight, particularly in retail banking systems, vendor product integration, and cloud-native solutions.
- Set direction on APIs, microservices, and mainframe integrations while guiding teams through complex vendor and internal technology landscapes.
- Engage in full stack engineering with Java (Spring Boot), Node. js, Type Script, and React; design, code, unit test, and integrate new features.
- Demonstrate SME-level knowledge of retail banking systems and their design implications.
- Develop and integrate APIs, vendor systems, and microservices; manage mainframe connectivity.
- Plan and implement packaged product integration approaches.
- Hands-on work with Azure / AKS, RESTful services, and SQL.
- Proficient with Git Hub, Jenkins, Maven, Snyk, and Sonar Qube.
- Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe frameworks; use Jira and Confluence for tracking and collaboration.
- Bridge business and technical stakeholders effectively.
- Deep background in retail banking systems (underwriting, deposits, payments, etc.).
- Experience working across complex vendor and internal tech environments.
- Experience driving automated testing strategies and production release support.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Node. js, Type Script, and React.
- Strong design, coding, unit testing, and feature integration skills.
- Expertise in API development, vendor system integration, microservices, and mainframe connectivity.
