The Assembly Lab Coordinator leads day-to-day workflow alongside the Optical Assembly Supervisor and Operations Manager. This manufacturing role coordinates production priorities, supports employees, and remains actively involved in assembly activities. Success requires technical aptitude, practical problem-solving, and organized planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate assembly activities against production schedules and priorities
- Allocate work according to skills, workload, materials, and requirements
- Monitor build progress and address workflow constraints
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and system-level assembly
- Support testing, inspection, training, and shipment preparation
Requirements:
- Experience assembling mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, or industrial equipment
- Experience coordinating manufacturing or production teams
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documentation
- ERP and Microsoft Office experience; Syspro is an asset
