As a full-time Industrial Millwright for the City of Thunder Bay, you will ensure smooth and efficient functionality of wastewater treatment facilities. Your role includes adhering to a Preventative Maintenance System, operating essential machinery, and recommending improvements. This collaborative position supports both personal well-being and environmental care, working Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
- Operate pumps, valves, and generators efficiently
- Monitor equipment for wear and report abnormalities
- Recommend process improvements for plant operations
- Update facility documentation as required
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent certification
- Journeyman Certification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
- Practical experience in industrial machinery maintenance
- Ability to read engineering and mechanical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
