As a Screed Operator, you will be responsible for the operation of the screed on the rear of the paving machine, setting the depth and width of the asphalt as it is laid. This position is critical for ensuring the ride-ability of the finished product.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Set the depth and width of the asphalt according to specifications.
- Shovel asphalt into holes in the surface where the paving machine cannot access.
- Provide excellent internal customer service.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
- Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years as a paving screed operator.
Required Training/Certifications: Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
Additional Requirements:
- High degree of quality of work.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure with high attention to detail.
- Must meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and/or early starts.
