Job Cost Accountant in Calgary, Alberta, using Excel, financial reporting, and cost analysis to support Amrize construction operations.
This full-time, hourly position supports the accounting structure for the Foothills Ready-Mix group. Reporting to the Controller for SAB Construction, the accountant assists administrative accounting staff and management. The work centers on billing, job costs, revenue, reporting, and month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely, accurate billing for active jobs
- Monitor costs, revenues, and estimated-versus-actual performance
- Prepare reports, journal entries, accruals, and allocations
- Maintain Work in Progress reporting within target
- Resolve billing and job cost discrepancies collaboratively
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related business field
- Minimum two years of job costing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accurate financial documentation
