Operate boom trucks across Ontario while supporting railway construction, maintenance, and material handling with strict safety practices. Travel is required.
Universal Rail Solutions Inc. seeks a full-time, unionized Boom Truck Driver for active rail environments. You will support signal installation, communications work, track renewal, and material distribution. The position requires railway operating rules, equipment inspections, documentation, and effective crew communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate boom trucks to lift, move, load, and unload materials
- Inspect equipment before and after daily operations
- Complete log books, briefings, documentation, and inspection reports
- Follow CROR, company safety policies, and railway instructions
- Assist railway construction and manual labour activities when required
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence for boom truck operation
- Six months of railway or construction industry experience
- One season of equipment operating experience
- CROR certification or willingness and ability to obtain
- Ability to travel, work rotations, nights, overtime, and lift 50 pounds
