Design distributed software for Amazon’s infrastructure, using service-oriented architecture and programming expertise to improve regional flexibility, observability, security, and efficiency. As a Software Development Engineer, you will build automated instrumentation and augmentation solutions for Amazon services. You will create framework abstractions, support cross-cutting initiatives, and improve developer experience across the service graph. The work spans complex systems, scalable technologies, and company-wide engineering needs. Key Responsibilities:
Design and build solutions for regional expansion initiatives Develop infrastructure software for automated instrumentation and augmentation Scope and deliver projects end-to-end with meaningful metrics Share architectural visions and technical solutions Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and cross-cutting teams Requirements:
Three-plus years of non-internship software development experience Two-plus years designing or architecting new and existing systems Programming experience with at least one software language Experience with reliability and scaling design patterns Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred Apply distributed software, architectural design, and service-oriented architecture skills to Amazon infrastructure engineering at scale.
