This contract, part-time, as-needed assignment supports Board and Committee meetings within a professional organization. You will work with Chairs and the Governance team to capture motions, resolutions, decisions, directions, and action items. The work requires strong listening, writing, editing, judgment, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Board and Committee meetings in person
- Record attendance, motions, resolutions, decisions, and directions
- Prepare concise, objective governance-level draft minutes
- Incorporate feedback and finalize minutes within established timelines
- Maintain confidentiality across governance matters and communications
Requirements:
- Experience taking formal minutes for Boards or committees
- Professional experience preparing governance records and meeting minutes
- Understanding of governance practices, protocols, motions, and resolutions
- Exceptional listening, writing, and editing skills
- Strong detail, objectivity, judgment, organization, and discretion
