This hybrid role requires onsite work two to three days weekly. As Principal, IT Auditor, you will lead risk-based audits from planning through reporting for a public sector financial organization. You will assess cybersecurity, cloud, identity access management, data privacy, AI, and third-party technology risks. The position is a senior individual contributor role without direct people management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Lead complex risk-based IT audits through planning and reporting Assess cybersecurity, cloud, identity, privacy, AI, and third-party risks Guide audit work and strengthen evidence quality and analysis Translate technical findings into executive-level recommendations and reports Advance practices through analytics, mentorship, and continuous improvement Requirements:
Ten-plus years in IT audit, risk, cybersecurity, governance, or assurance Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or equivalent Knowledge of cloud, networks, endpoint security, identity, data platforms, and agile delivery Experience applying NIST, CIS Controls, COBIT, ISO, and IIA standards Strong audit leadership, stakeholder engagement, project management, and executive communication Apply technology governance, cybersecurity, and executive communication expertise while leading meaningful IT audit improvements across Canadian locations.
