Are you passionate about the railway industry and complex systems? The Train Control & Monitoring Systems (TCMS) team is looking for you. The TCMS team is involved in the improvement and troubleshooting of our customers' active train fleets. The typical projects span from issue troubleshooting and correction, obsolescence management to functional improvements.

The TCMS has an onboard and a wayside application:

  • The onboard portion acquires train data, applies control rules and activates outputs for train operation. It also gathers multiple train health metrics that are sent to the wayside software over wireless links.
  • The wayside application receives, processes, archives and makes this data available for consultation. This data is used for efficient train operation, preventive and reactive maintenance.

As a Test & Validation Specialist (Software), you will directly contribute to the technical excellence of our solutions. Reporting to the Test Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of Wayside systems. If you are looking for a role with a direct impact on the safety and efficiency of tomorrow’s transportation, this opportunity is for you.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Act as a technical reference on defined projects by providing support on complex testing, architecture, and validation challenges.
  • Automation: Develop scripts and tools to integrate testing activities.
  • Execution & Analysis: Ensure requirements traceability, diagnose complex defects, and optimize test coverage.
  • Observability: Implement advanced tools (logs, network captures, traces) for accurate diagnostics.
  • Strictly adhere to established processes, methods, and tools related to these activities.

About you:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in software or system testing within complex multi-system environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong scripting skills (ex: Python, Bash…), networking knowledge (ex: TCP/IP, Ethernet…), and experience with CI/CD tools (ex: GitLab, Jenkins…).
  • Tools: Familiarity with requirements management (ex: DOORS…) and databases (ex: SQL…).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in an international, multi-site, matrix organization.
  • Fluent in French and English required.
  • Automation: Have a strong interest for automated testing (Asset).
