Could you be the full-time VIE Procurement Equity Deputy in Saint-Bruno, Canada, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement, partnership development, sustainability and stakeholder management expertise in a dynamic international environment. You'll work alongside collaborative and committed teammates within the NAM RSC Procurement organization.

Reporting directly to the Procurement team, you will play a key role in advancing Alstom's Procurement Equity and Buy Canada ambitions. You will support major projects across Canada by identifying and developing relationships with Canadian suppliers and Diverse Business Enterprises (DBEs), strengthening strategic external partnerships, and ensuring the achievement of local content and inclusive procurement objectives.

Day-to-day, you'll work closely with procurement commodity managers, project teams, sustainability stakeholders, external organizations, certification bodies and supplier diversity councils to expand Alstom's supplier ecosystem and support data-driven procurement strategies.

We'll look to you for:

1. Inclusive Sourcing & Procurement Support (DBE & Buy Canada)

  • Identify, qualify and map Canadian suppliers and Diverse Business Enterprises (DBEs) across relevant commodity areas.
  • Develop sourcing pipelines supporting both Buy Canada requirements and supplier diversity objectives.
  • Prepare and coordinate RFQ packages and sourcing documentation for targeted suppliers.
  • Support DBEs throughout sourcing and bidding processes, helping reduce barriers to participation and improve accessibility.
  • Facilitate connections between qualified suppliers and Alstom commodity managers and procurement teams.

2. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with certification bodies, diversity councils, supplier diversity organizations and inclusive chambers of commerce.
  • Represent Alstom at networking events, industry conferences, supplier diversity forums and outreach initiatives.
  • Promote Alstom's Procurement Equity and local sourcing programs across external stakeholder groups.
  • Expand and strengthen Alstom's network of strategic partners supporting inclusive procurement objectives.

3. Project Performance & Reporting

  • Track and consolidate procurement spend data related to Buy Canada and Procurement Equity commitments across active projects.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs to measure progress against local content and supplier diversity targets.
  • Design and implement monitoring tools enabling strategic intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze multiple data sources to identify and qualify new supplier opportunities for Alstom.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting while maintaining compliance documentation for Procurement Equity initiatives.

4. Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and emerging best practices related to supplier diversity, inclusive procurement and Canadian industrial participation requirements.
  • Conduct ongoing market intelligence activities to identify sourcing opportunities and evolving industry trends.
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen sourcing strategies and improve supplier diversity integration across procurement processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Procurement Equity programs, tools and performance metrics.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Master's degree (Business School, Engineering School, Political Sciences Institute or equivalent) with a specialization in Procurement, International Sourcing, Project Management, Sustainability or CSR.
  • Previous internship or apprenticeship experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Responsible Procurement, Project Management, Partnership Development or Sustainability is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interest in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), sustainable procurement, CSR and the broader societal impact of sourcing decisions.
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Ability to analyze procurement and supplier data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an international and fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
