As a Laboratory Analyst, you will perform production chemistry in ALS's analytical laboratory. Your work includes sample weighing, chemical analysis, dilutions, solution preparation, and QA/QC documentation. You will help maintain quality, output, and adherence to the ALS Health and Safety Program while meeting turnaround time commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain analytical balances according to ALS procedures
- Weigh and inspect pulp samples for accuracy and homogeneity
- Perform carbon, sulphur, or aqua regia analysis
- Complete dilutions, solution preparation, logs, and equipment records
- Report quality and safety concerns to the Laboratory Manager
Requirements:
- Recognized Science diploma or degree required
- Analytical Chemistry preferred
- Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
- Detail-oriented commitment to safety and quality
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
