Canadian brokerage operations expertise meets automation-first process design at Alpaca, supporting ACCC launch readiness across accounts, trades, and custody. As a Senior Brokerage Operations Associate, you will translate CIRO-aligned requirements into auditable workflows. Your work spans clearing, settlement, registered accounts, tax operations, reconciliations, and partner-broker servicing. You will collaborate with Compliance, Product, Engineering, and global Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design account opening, maintenance, trading, and cash workflows
- Define partner-broker responsibilities across accounts, trades, and assets
- Automate settlement, corporate actions, exceptions, and reconciliations
- Document runbooks, controls, RACI, escalations, and failure plans
- Prepare TFSA, RRSP, RESP, tax, and reporting operations
Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on Canadian brokerage operations experience
- Experience with CIRO, CDS or CDSX, custody, and settlement
- Depth in at least two core brokerage operations disciplines
- Strong written communication for SOPs, requirements, and decision logs
- Practical automation and AI-assisted operations experience
- Bring Canadian brokerage, registered-account, automation, and control expertise to Alpaca’s scalable ACCC operating model.
