Cement Finisher

Wage:

$48.13 per hour + benefits according to Union collective agreement (full-time position)

Location of Work:

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area and Province of Ontario

Job Description:

• Concrete finishing, cutting and coring concrete




• Curing concrete, apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces




• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, balconies and other structures




• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures




• Checking, setting forms that hold concrete in place




• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues




• Pouring, smoothing and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float and screed




• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete




• Install anchor bolts, steel plates in freshly poured concrete

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.

Job Requirements:

• 3 years experience in concrete work




• Technical knowledge of concrete properties




• Ability to follow instructions




• Team player with a positive attitude




• Capable of working in a fast-paced labour-intensive environmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs without strain




• Proficiency with hand/power tools to smooth, level, and cure surfaces




• Precision and attention to detail




• Punctual and willingness to work long hours and Saturdays if required
