Lead academic planning and strategic initiatives at Algonquin College through advanced analysis, partnership development, and evidence-based decision-making. This full-time administrative role offers hybrid work eligibility. Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic Operations and Planning, the Associate Director provides institution-wide leadership across academic programs and external engagement. The role coordinates strategic opportunities, funding proposals, partnerships, and contract activities. It supports alignment with the Academic Plan, financial sustainability, regulatory requirements, and institutional priorities. Key Responsibilities:
Direct academic planning and strategic initiative execution Evaluate funding proposals, partnerships, and strategic opportunities Coordinate due diligence, negotiations, agreements, and operational transitions Provide evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership Oversee external and international academic partnership portfolios Requirements:
Four-year Bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent Professional certification in project, change, or business management Minimum nine years of relevant experience Experience leading teams and cross-functional strategic initiatives Advanced analytical, financial, risk assessment, and communication skills Bring academic planning, partnership leadership, financial literacy, and strategic analysis to Algonquin College’s Academic Operations and Planning.
