Lead QA automation for AlgaeCal’s React storefront and backend middleware, using Cypress or Playwright with scalable test architecture. The role supports reliable releases. As Lead QA Developer, you will build, maintain, improve, and scale automated testing strategies for eCommerce systems. You will guide QA developers, integrate tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines, and strengthen quality engineering across Shopify Hydrogen storefronts and middleware. The work focuses on early bug prevention. Key Responsibilities:
Architect scalable automated testing frameworks across storefronts and middleware Improve test reliability, speed, and maintainability Integrate automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines Guide QA developers and review their work Track quality metrics and improve reporting Requirements:
Five or more years of QA development experience Two or more years leading, mentoring, or coaching Hands-on Cypress, Playwright, or similar framework experience eCommerce experience with automated testing strategies Experience testing Shopify Hydrogen storefronts and middleware Bring QA leadership, automated testing, and CI/CD expertise to improve AlgaeCal’s eCommerce quality and release reliability.
