Our firm is seeking a Senior Civil and Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our team. The selected candidate will manage complex cases, advise a diverse clientele, and represent clients before the courts.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage civil and commercial litigation files;
- Develop and execute strategic settlement and representation plans;
- Draft legal proceedings, legal opinions, formal notices (mises en demeure), and various legal documents;
- Represent clients before the courts, as well as in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences;
- Provide strategic advice to clients and ensure thorough file management;
- Collaborate with other professionals within the firm;
- Participate in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and articling students, as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation;
- Excellent legal drafting and oral advocacy skills;
- Strong analytical mind, autonomy, and strategic thinking;
- Proven track record in business development and client relations;
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
