About the internship:
- Three internships available
- SECTOR: Maintenance/Reliability
- Assist the reliability engineer in various tasks related to equipment reliability:
- Participate in breakdown analysis meetings with a dedicated team to solve recurring problems on equipment;
- Participate in weekly technical meetings with tradespeople;
- Collaborate in the preparation, execution, and implementation of maintenance program review activities on targeted equipment;
- Participate in the planning and monitoring of selected work during breakdown analysis meetings;
- Contribute to predictive programs for equipment monitoring (e.g., oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, etc.);
- Conduct research with suppliers and equipment manufacturers, as well as research drawings or documents;
- Produce visual work procedures in collaboration with tradespeople;
- Provide technical support;
- Participate in equipment modifications to enhance reliability.
About you:
- Student in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel;
- Rigour, initiative, logical reasoning;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to organize work to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working conditions:
- If you do not reside in the region of our smelter, you may be eligible for a $600 housing allowance!
- We will connect you with other interns who will be present during the Winter 2027 session before the internship begins;
- Comprehensive training upon arrival to prepare you for our industrial environment;

Internship conditions:
- Dates: January 11 to April 23, 2027
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Work schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday.
- Salary: Scale between $28 and $32 per hour depending on your year of study.
