As Principal, you will oversee a pioneering Ukrainian-English bilingual program that nurtures language proficiency and cultural appreciation in students from Kindergarten to Grade 4, with plans to extend to K-9. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of comprehensive educational experiences rooted in Comprehensible Input pedagogy, while cultivating a collaborative school culture among staff and students alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor instruction quality and student performance
- Recruit and support teaching and administrative staff
- Develop engaging bilingual curriculum and resources
- Communicate effectively with parents about school initiatives
- Prepare budgets for program efficacy and resource allocation
Requirements:
- Five years of classroom teaching with an Alberta Teaching Certificate
- 3-5 years of administrative or leadership experience
- Certification in Alberta Leadership Quality Standard or willingness to obtain
- Deep understanding of Immersive CI pedagogy
- Valid criminal record check required
