Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging as a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I at Grimshaw Berwyn Community. Rural practice includes ECGs and specimen analysis.
This regular full-time position supports Alberta Health Services laboratory and X-ray services. You will collect biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, prepare patients, and report results. The work includes venipuncture, micropuncture, equipment maintenance, supplies, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze biological specimens
- Conduct X-ray examinations and ECGs
- Prepare patients and perform venipuncture
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and quality control records
- Report, review, and distribute patient results accurately
Requirements:
- Diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology
- Active or eligible Alberta College registration
- Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Respond to call within 30 minutes
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
