As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Utilizing your Red Seal certification and at least five years of experience, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair surface mining equipment, including drills from Sandvik, Komatsu, and Caterpillar. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety standards and productivity of mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions
- Adjust, repair, and replace defective components
- Test repaired equipment for operational performance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete technical reports and time records
Requirements:
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent
- Minimum five years of experience with mining equipment
