Job Description: The IM Delivery Manager is responsible for integrated project management, coordination and delivery oversight across the assigned Information Management solutions portfolio. The focus is on ensuring clinical information systems and related IM solutions are configured, tested, ready for go-live and transitioned successfully into operations. This is specifically an IM/application delivery role, not an IT infrastructure role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrated delivery plan, schedule, WBS and roadmap.
- Coordinate solution owners, Digital Enablement Expeditors, clinical/operational teams, technical teams and vendors.
- Coordinate requirements, procurement and vendor commitments.
- Manage cross-solution/workstream dependencies involving infrastructure, clinical equipment, interfaces, data, cybersecurity, privacy and security.
- Coordinate configuration validation, integration testing, workflow validation and UAT/readiness.
- Align implementation with clinical workflows and operational readiness.
- Integrate training, change management and adoption activities into delivery schedules.
- Track and manage risks, issues, changes, dependencies and mitigation activities.
- Provide consolidated portfolio status and readiness reporting.
- Develop and coordinate integrated go-live/cutover planning.
- Coordinate handover to Fraser Health and PHSA operational/sustainment teams.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience working on large-scale IMIT application implementation projects, specifically not IT/infrastructure, in a project management or lead role within healthcare.
- Senior-level skills and experience sufficient to deliver the required services and deliverables.
- Ability to take the lead in a changing/reactionary, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and structure both clear and unclear workloads.
- Willingness to be hands-on and dive into details to solve application implementation and handover/sustainment problems.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with internal and external partners.
Preferred Experience:
- Healthcare industry experience in IM or clinical informatics.
- 3 years' experience on large-scale construction projects in an IM project management role.
- Formal project management training or certification.
This is not a fully remote role. The consultant is expected to reside locally in British Columbia, with the document specifically indicating an expectation that the consultant reside in the Lower Mainland and attend Fraser Health sites regularly. Onsite presence is expected to increase as the project progresses, potentially reaching full-time presence around hospital go-live periods. Weekday and weekend work may also be required based on project/construction needs.
