As a Security Consultant II, serve as the main contact for security services, ensuring seamless integration and support for customers. Provide expert guidance in a dynamic field, implementing innovative solutions that help customers utilize Akamai's security products effectively to meet objectives.

As a Security Consultant, You Will Be Responsible For:

• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and tuning solutions to meet client needs.
• Partnering with sales teams internally to fully understand customer business needs in order to ensure their success.
• Participating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving our methodology and quality of solution delivery.
• Participating in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government clearance.
• Demonstrate experience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL and how CDNs work.
• Have relevant customer facing experience within a consultative environment.
• Have achieved or be interested in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or others.
• Demonstrate knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
• Have knowledge of implementation concepts that deal with web development, IT systems or security practice.

• The base salary for this position ranges from 92,900 - 167,100 CAD/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications.
• The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
