At Airmedic, being a flight nurse is not just another job. It means joining a specialized aeromedical environment where critical care, mobility, clinical autonomy, and adaptability truly matter. It is also a concrete opportunity to enter a rare niche in Quebec, develop highly distinctive expertise, and, for those who wish, evolve toward more senior full-time positions within the organization. In a context of growth and expansion of our activities in Quebec and northern communities, we are looking for casual flight nurses ready to embark on an extraordinary practice.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE WITH US

  • You will also contribute to supporting northern communities, in collaboration with remote areas requiring frontline, emergency, and stabilization care.

    • Participate in the care of patients in complex and unstable clinical contexts;
    • Intervene in varied, demanding, and constantly evolving environments;
    • Collaborate closely with an engaged interdisciplinary team;
    • Develop rare expertise in medical evacuation and repatriation.

WHY THIS JOB IS DIFFERENT

This casual position is not a parallel track. It is a true gateway into the aeromedical world. At Airmedic, we want to build an ecosystem where talents can develop, gain field experience, and evolve within the organization. For individuals who demonstrate strong commitment, clinical rigor, and an ability to perform in our environment, this role can pave the way for progression opportunities toward more senior and, eventually, full-time positions. In other words: you are not just coming to do missions. You are coming to build niche expertise.

  • Able to show openness and flexibility;
  • Comfortable with uncertainty, ambiguity, and emergency and/or intensive care situations;
  • Rigorous, ethical, and focused on quality and safety;
  • Solid in your clinical judgment and ability to make decisions in complex contexts.

YOUR BACKGROUND

We are looking for candidates possessing:

  • A DEC or a bachelor's degree in nursing sciences;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care and/or emergency care;
  • An up-to-date CPR certification;
  • OIIQ license;

The following training will be considered important assets:

  • ACLS
  • ITLS
  • PALS
  • NRP

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

Beyond the position, Airmedic offers you a practice that few organizations can propose. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover a specialized nursing practice that is rarely accessible elsewhere;
  • Concretely contribute to care offered in remote regions and northern communities;
  • Work with a fleet of aircraft and cutting-edge medical equipment;
  • Evolve in a growing company developing its own niche in Quebec;
  • Join a passionate, engaged, and deeply field-oriented team.

We also offer:

  • The opportunity for a 7-day or 14-day consecutive schedule according to your availability;
  • Accommodation and travel to other bases during deployments;
  • Competitive remuneration;
  • A human, mobilizing, and action-oriented work environment;
  • The real possibility of making your mark in an exceptional clinical sector.
