AIG’s Multinational business provides multinational insurance solutions for our global customers, empowering them to navigate their cross-border risks with confidence and consistency. AIG Multinational professionals have the diverse skills and expertise necessary to deliver customized, compliant and seamless solutions that support our clients’ risk management objectives.

The Head of Multinational, Canada will provide leadership and strategic direction of AIG’s Multinational business across Canada and participate in the Multinational North America Leadership Team, working to expand AIG’s Multinational presence by optimizing alignment, integration, adoption and execution of AIG’s global multinational strategies, business plans, operating model and segmented value proposition(s), in support of profitable growth.

This role reports directly to the Head of Multinational, North America.

How You Will Create An Impact

• Support the Head of Multinational, North America through active participation and contribution to the leadership and direction of AIG’s multinational business.
• Work with AIG Canada leadership & stakeholders to foster alignment, integration, & execution of agreed multinational business model(s) and segmented multinational value proposition.
• Manage a team of Multinational Client Executives and Multinational Client Coordinators in alignment with AIG’s Global Multinational Business Model, to deliver superior Multinational client service and stakeholder experience.
• Drive the multinational vision, value proposition and execution of the multinational strategic plan across the full spectrum of general insurance products in Canada.
• Partner in driving the execution of the profitable growth of the multinational portfolio including pipeline management and development & execution of specific multinational sales, marketing and communications strategies.
• Effectively manage and drive the profitable growth and servicing of the AIG Canada produced complex global fronting portfolio.
• Represent AIG Multinational as a visible and recognized thought and industry leader.
• Lead change in behavior and practice across the Canada Multinational team.
• Deliver on all KPIs on customer service, profitability, and expense management across the AIG Canada produced multinational portfolio.
• Lead the adoption & execution of the multinational business model and promotion of the segmented multinational value proposition(s).
• Work with claims to ensure multinational claims are handled in a proactive manner.
• Create a risk-aware culture of integrity and accountability.
• Foster an environment where employees can grow and maximize their talent.
• Support the Multinational transformation agenda and own agreed deliverables for Canada’s Multinational produced business.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• 10+ years of insurance experience in positions of increasing authority.
• Strong and deep multinational knowledge.
• Inspiring leader able to attract, engage, retain, and develop a high performing team.
• Knowledge of fronting and multinational business across multiple lines of business.
• Proven successful management of complex, multi-stakeholder team(s).
• Excellent influencing and communications skills.
• Demonstrated change agent able to identify and implement operational and process improvements.
