- Salary range 004: $73,000 to $91,200 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position)
What you’ll be responsible for each day:
- Reporting to the Production and Maintenance Manager, the Production Supervisor manages production teams, oversees manufacturing processes, and ensures smooth operational performance.
- Coordinate manufacturing activities through to shipping (milk receiving and processing, production, packaging, aging, and shipping) while ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Ensure operational continuity, adherence to production plans, and product quality standards.
- Coordinate workforce requirements.
- Ensure proper management and efficient use of raw materials, ingredients, and cleaning products.
- Ensure compliance with and follow-up on health and safety programs.
- Maintain compliance with quality, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
- Support and maintain environmental program initiatives.
- Supervise and monitor sanitary maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure the collective agreement is properly applied.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, engage, develop, and train team members.
- Empower employees and involve them in decision-making.
The individual who will own this role:
- College diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of personnel supervision experience.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an asset.
