YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
- Attend a 42-day training (3 rotations) at the Meadowbank Complex;
- Attend all of the training classes and the on-field training related to the Underground Haul Truck Training Program;
- Learn to operate Haul Truck Equipment (30T);
- Follow the Trainer’s instructions at all times;
- Inspect the working equipment on a daily basis;
- Inspect the working environment by scaling rocks.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Nunavut driver’s license class 5 or equivalent;
- Driver’s license class 3 is considered as an asset;
- Must obtain approval to work underground from the Canadian Explosives Regulatory Division;
- Underground certification or equivalent such as Mining Modules and Common Core is considered as an asset;
- Willingness to learn;
- Possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a team;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written);
- Position reserved for Nunavut Inuit Beneficiary candidates.
