Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Electrical Engineer - Senior in the Engineering Consulting in Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary team is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment delivering a mix of large-scale EPCM projects and operations support initiatives across a variety of industries.
Total rewards: $110000.00 - $170000.00 annually
Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals and ensure effective communication within project teams and with client engineer.
- Report to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issues.
- Visit project sites and other design offices for project related activities as required.
- Lead a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design for mining/mineral processing within budget and on schedule.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team and mentor engineers-in-training and designers.
- Prepare and check calculations as required and prepare electrical equipment specification packages.
- Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications and prepare detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications.
Successful candidates will have:
- Engineer with 12+ years of relevant experience - preferably in an EPCM environment for industrial projects.
- Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering Association.
- Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards.
- Proficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPEN.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teams.
