This part-time RPN position provides professional nursing care according to medical requirements and nursing practice. You will collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, external partners, and healthcare teams. The work includes resident-status communication, shift reporting, policy implementation, and direction for Personal Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to residents
- Direct Personal Support Workers on the care team
- Notify physicians about significant resident-status changes
- Participate in healthcare team shift reports
- Implement AgeCare policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence
- Good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Knowledge of geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing
- Understanding of applicable healthcare legislation and standards
- Background including activation, nursing, and personnel administration
