As a part-time Health Care Aide, you will assist residents with essential daily activities like personal hygiene, meal support, and mobility assistance. Under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, your role is pivotal in providing high-quality care that respects the individual needs of each resident and enhances their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bathe and assist residents according to care procedures
- Facilitate safe transfers using appropriate equipment
- Aid residents during meals and ensure nutritional requirements
- Escort residents to various activities throughout the facility
- Administer routine treatments as guided by nursing staff
Requirements:
- Preferably one year of experience in continuing care
- HCA or PCA Certificate completion required
- Proficient in English, spoken and written
- Active registration with CLHA of Alberta
- Dedication to making a difference in residents' lives
