The work includes ASC 740 provision, Canadian T2 returns, staff leadership, and communication with business and finance teams. You will engage tax authorities, advisors, auditors, and industry peers. Key Responsibilities:
Manage consolidated income tax provision under US GAAP ASC 740 Own Canadian corporate income tax returns and compliance schedules Supervise staff, assign work, and review deliverables Lead development, training, onboarding, and performance management Support CRA queries, controversy, and foreign affiliate reporting Requirements:
Canadian CPA and degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline Eight to twelve years of progressive Canadian tax experience Three or more years directly supervising staff Completed CPA In-depth Tax Course Tax compliance software, advanced Excel, and data skills Apply tax leadership, ASC 740 reporting, Canadian compliance, and technology expertise as AltaGas' Calgary-based Senior Tax Manager.
