As a Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack, you will set technical strategy for the Card Experiences team. You will build web, mobile, and backend systems while partnering with product, design, risk, operations, and analytics. Your work will support highly available services, production monitoring, and trustworthy cardholder journeys. Key Responsibilities:
Set technical strategy across a year-long team planning horizon Collaborate with product, design, analytics, risk, and operations Define technical solutions and operational processes for your team Own monitoring, triage rotations, testing, alerting, and on-call readiness Raise quality through standards, feedback, writing, and technical talks Requirements:
Eight or more years designing backend systems at scale Experience with Python or Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes Proficiency with React Native, React, or Vue Experience launching major features and scalable distributed systems Equivalent practical experience or a related Bachelor’s degree Bring full stack expertise, technical leadership, and AI-first thinking to dependable Affirm Card experiences for customers across Canada.
