Build Affim Card customer experiences with full stack engineering, Python or Kotlin, and remote-first flexibility across eligible Canadian provinces. As a Software Engineer II, you will develop customer-facing features and backend services supporting checkout-critical experiences. You will work with Product, Design, analytics, and engineering teams while contributing to mobile, distributed systems, and web applications. Your work will help simplify financial capabilities for customers. Key Responsibilities:
Break larger projects into tasks and deliver work in phases Collaborate on product ideation, constraints, risks, and trade-offs Create and monitor metrics supporting artifact availability Escalate operational issues and support on-call efforts Participate in interviews and team development activities Requirements:
At least 1.5 years of software engineering experience Backend systems experience with Python or Kotlin proficiency Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes, and distributed systems Web application experience using React or Vue Experience launching scalable APIs and writing tested, extensible code Bring full stack development, API design, and collaborative engineering skills to Affim Card experiences supporting clearer customer decisions.
