Forklift Operator
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to work in a fast-paced cross-dock warehouse. You will operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift and support shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down counterbalance forklift.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
- Organize incoming and outgoing freight.
- Use an RF scanner to process and track inventory.
- Build and wrap pallets.
- Assist with manual loading and unloading when needed.
- Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all warehouse and safety procedures.
- Communicate with team members and shift leads.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of LTL or cross-dock experience.
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse/shipping and receiving experience.
- Minimum 1 year of sit-down counterbalance forklift experience.
- Valid propane sit-down counterbalance forklift ticket.
- RF scanner experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good attention to detail and communication skills.
- TDG training required before starting. Paid training is provided.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Work Environment
- Fast-paced cross-dock warehouse.
- Safety-toe work boots required.
- Safety vest provided.
- Casual warehouse dress code.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $24.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
