Bring an Owner’s Engineer perspective to AECOM airport projects in Mississauga, challenging architectural solutions through independent technical review. The role is on-site five days weekly. This Senior Architect assignment focuses on owner-side assurance for large, complex, multidisciplinary capital projects. You will review compliance, challenge design decisions where required, and maintain accountability with the Architect of Record. Your recommendations must be concise, objective, and evidence-based. Key Responsibilities:
Provide independent review and challenge of major capital projects Deliver clear recommendations to project teams and consultants Establish compliance matrices, review criteria, and deviation registers Monitor findings, comments, and closure processes Capture recurring issues and lessons learned from major projects Requirements:
Degree and eight years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency Professional registration, preferably OAA or Ontario registration eligibility Owner’s Architect, Owner’s Engineer, or design assurance experience Strong knowledge of specifications, constructability, accessibility, and building science Strong communication skills for defensible professional recommendations Use owner-side architectural assurance, compliance, and communication expertise to strengthen AECOM’s complex airport project delivery.
