Lead architectural review for AECOM’s airport projects in Mississauga, using building codes and design assurance expertise. This position works on-site five days weekly. AECOM seeks a Senior Architect to independently review complex capital projects at key design stages. You will assess submissions, identify architectural risks, and provide defensible recommendations. The work supports structured compliance and design assurance programs for major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review complex capital projects at key architectural design stages
- Assess submissions against codes, standards, requirements, and approved decisions
- Identify risks, gaps, inconsistencies, departures, and coordination issues
- Track architectural findings through resolution and closure
- Participate in design, constructability, and technical assurance reviews
Requirements:
- Degree and eight years relevant experience or equivalent
- Professional architectural registration, preferably OAA or Ontario eligibility
- Approximately ten or more years progressively responsible experience
- Experience reviewing complex multidisciplinary capital projects; airport experience preferred
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, BIM coordination, and Bluebeam workflows
