Lead regional training development for the Kativik Regional Government in Kuujjuaq, using program management and employment expertise. This is a full-time contract position.
As Senior Program Officer, you will work with the Programs section and report to the Assistant Director of Programs. The position focuses on training needs, employment programs, project assessment, financial monitoring, and reporting. Related university education or exceptional relevant experience is considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate regional training needs and develop suitable courses
- Promote employment and training programs across the region
- Support employers developing projects and training plans
- Assess projects, monitor activities, and evaluate results
- Prepare reports, financial statements, and annual documentation
Requirements:
- University degree in administration, education, or community development
- At least three years of related experience
- Knowledge of federal and provincial employment program criteria
- Working knowledge of two listed languages
- Ability to work in a computerized environment
